Benchmark Advisory

A clearer view of technology. A stronger basis for decisions.

01 / Who it is for

Benchmark Advisory, shaped around your organization.

Leaders who need a clearer basis for technology, security and investment decisions.

vCIO/vCISO planning, business reviews, technology roadmaps, AI governance and vendor-risk advice. The signed scope connects these activities to named owners and an agreed way of working.

02 / What we do together

Know what the work involves.

These are the areas we review when defining your engagement—not an automatic bundle of every service.

Plan around your business

Build a technology roadmap that reflects the work ahead—not just the next replacement cycle.

  • Review current systems and business dependencies
  • Prioritize lifecycle, budget and modernization decisions
  • Structure business reviews around agreed actions

Give risk a place at the table

Bring a vCIO/vCISO planning perspective to the choices leadership needs to make.

  • Review security priorities and accountable owners
  • Assess vendor dependencies and risk questions
  • Outline evidence and readiness work for specialist review

Set direction for responsible AI

Decide where AI can help and what needs to be protected before introducing it.

  • Identify appropriate use cases and data boundaries
  • Review permissions, approvals and exception handling
  • Define governance responsibilities and review points

Your engagement / Benchmark Advisory

A clear agreement from the start.

Leaders who need a clearer basis for technology, security and investment decisions.

The outcome we work toward

vCIO/vCISO planning, business reviews, technology roadmaps, AI governance and vendor-risk advice.

How the engagement is structured

Retainer with stated advisory hours and deliverables. Additional assessments and implementation work are scoped separately.

Where the boundaries sit

Advisory hours, deliverables and review cadence are stated. Implementation, operational support and formal executive or officer responsibilities are not included unless separately agreed.

Your proposal and signed agreement confirm the scope, responsibilities, charges and service commitments before work begins.

04 / From first conversation to delivery

A defined next step at every stage.

  1. 01

    Listen and assess

Understand business goals, current commitments, decision-makers and the information already available.

  2. 02

    Set the agenda

Agree advisory hours, deliverables, priorities and a cadence for leadership review.

  3. 03

    Turn insight into action

Maintain a practical roadmap, document decisions and identify implementation work that needs its own scope.

05 / Questions, answered

Know where you stand before you begin.

What do vCIO and vCISO mean here?

They describe technology and security leadership planning activities within the retainer. They do not imply a statutory officer appointment, full-time executive coverage or authority to make business decisions on your behalf.

Will Benchmark carry out the roadmap?

Implementation can be discussed, but it is not automatically part of the advisory retainer. Projects and operating services have their own responsibilities, approvals and commercial terms.

What will we receive?

Your retainer states the deliverables, advisory hours and review cadence. Depending on scope, these may include a technology roadmap, business reviews, risk priorities, vendor advice or an AI-governance plan.
