Benchmark Technology is building a dependable network of experienced contracted electricians to support electrical work associated with technology, facility, and client-site projects across our growing service markets.
The opportunity
This is an as-needed independent contractor opportunity for licensed electrical professionals and crews who take pride in safe, organized, code-conscious work. Assignments may support new construction, renovations, expansions, technology refreshes, relocations, and multi-site projects.
What you may support
- Support electrical rough-in, branch circuits, dedicated circuits, receptacles, lighting, panels, and related site infrastructure within the approved project scope.
- Coordinate power requirements for telecommunications rooms, network racks, wireless equipment, security cameras, access-control systems, workstations, and other technology deployments.
- Review drawings and site conditions, identify practical constraints early, and coordinate with Benchmark project leadership, general contractors, and client contacts.
- Perform testing, labeling, documentation, cleanup, and closeout work required for a safe, professional handoff.
- Maintain safe job sites and follow all applicable electrical codes, site policies, permits, and client requirements.
What we are looking for
- Current, applicable electrical licensure for the jurisdiction and work performed.
- Demonstrated commercial electrical experience, including work in active business, education, healthcare, or public-sector environments.
- Reliable transportation, appropriate tools, and the ability to coordinate with other trades.
- Clear communication, dependable follow-through, and respect for client facilities, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Current insurance, safety credentials, and background-clearance documentation when required for a specific assignment.
